Identified - Identified - Palo Alto GlobalProtect version 6.0+ is experiencing different authentication prompts using various browsers. There are three specific customer reported problems:


After authenticating, the "Open GlobalProtect" browser pop-up remains in a "still working" status

After the user clicks "Connect" no additional prompts occur

The user authenticates but never gets the browser pop-up to open the Global Protect Client

Resolved - Earlier today a network event occurred that has been impacting schools/sites connected to Network Nebraska via Great Plains Communications. We have seen multiple sites drop offline multiple times, as well as intermittent packet loss and slowness. We are waiting to hear back from the carrier as far as the full impact, cause, and remediation of the event. It is possible that further issues could occur, and that other sites connected via Great Plains Communications could see impact.

Scheduled - RFC-11301: Network backbone City Campus Router will have reduced performance during maintenance. Direct impact: Most services will failover to redundant connections. Two 15 minute outages are expected for the following services: Apogee Stream2 at all campuses; FanXP; NU Foundation at UNL; HCC PerfSONAR in NH; Holland Computing Center (HCC) Schorr at UNL. Possible impact: Some packet loss when services switch to redundant connections. ITS will be upgrading the City Campus Router during this time.

Update - UPDATE, per John Amgwert: VMtools 12.1.0 was loaded on all 33 ESXi hosts in LNK-HCI and LNK-TRD clusters, and is now available to any VMs running on those clusters. Successfully patched firmware on 8 ESXi hosts this evening (4 in each cluster). Will be pausing work for this evening due to backups kicking off, and will continue upgrading firmware in the morning around 8am.
