Resolved - For macOS users who are on campus, they can connect to NU-Guest wireless network without signing in, then launch JAMF Self Service application, search for & run "Update Inventory".

After that is complete, the needed certificate will be installed and the user should be able to connect to eduroam.

Identified - We have identified an issue with managed University macOS devices connecting to eduroam. These Macs will need to connect to another network to receive the updated configuration from Jamf, such as campus wired ethernet, home WiFi, or hotspot.

Resolved - Windstream worked through a number of issues that affected this circuit causing it to bounce multiple times last night from 20:38 to 22:49, and again this morning from 01:55 to 02:01. They completed all repairs and were hands off by 04:33 am CT today; the circuit has been up and clean since then.

Scheduled - RFC 130478: Network authentication will have reduced performance during maintenance. Direct impact: (Wired and eduroam) Many devices will need to manually accept the new certificate. Possible impact: Any device that fails to accept the new certificate will have to forget the old network connection, which includes the settings, and re-add the network on their device. ITS will be applying a new certificate on the authentication server during this time.

Scheduled - RFC 130417: UNK Network will be unavailable during maintenance. Direct impact: Portions of UNK campuses will be impacted, connection impact should be limited to 9 pm to 6 am. Possible impact: A new conduit for fiber will be prepared beginning Monday 7/7 could impact services. ITS will be moving the fiber box for connections across the highway to avoid the new round-about during this time.

Resolved - This circuit has been stable since July 1st. We are continuing to work with the vendor to increase the reliability of the circuit and gain a more complete understanding of the root cause(s) of these outages.

Monitoring - This circuit has been stable since 7/1/25. We anticipate meeting with Windstream to go over last week's outages in detail. We are continuing to monitor this circuit closely.

Update - The bounces earlier today were due to a burst of errors between Des Moines and Chicago. Another bounce happened at 7:25pm CT and the overnight Windstream team is actively investigating the cause.

Identified - Windstream identified the cause of the outage at 3:42pm CT, they identified a portion of their network between Omaha and Des Moines that is bouncing. No time to restoral has been given.
